I See Red People

Photos taken of the PLASA “We Make Events” demonstration on the 11th August 2020.

Portraits.

Not of the "Ballerinas who should fuck off to the back of the queue." Not of "over-privileged middle class luvvy wankers" but of the grafters. The workaholics, movers, shifters, white glovers, detail freaks, creatives and all of the rest of the spectrum that make up our world. (apologies to the myriad that I have missed.) Normal and abnormal people who have not been allowed to work since March 2020.

People whose livelihood has disappeared through no fault of their own.

At this moment, the events industry needs specific help for an industry that was the first to shut down due to Covid 19 and will be the last to be allowed to open.

We don't want sympathy, thoughts or prayers. We want (need) support in a very fiscal way.

We usually contribute approximately £70bn to the UK economy a year (although some estimates say up to £100bn.) UK professionals in this industry are respected world wide as some of the best.

We simply cannot just let this die.
